About Our Church
What We Believe
At Greenmont-Oak Park Community Church we support the Core Values of Love, Family, Fellowship, Service, and Faith. Our Bedrock Beliefs are Prayer, Faith, God’s Unconditional Love and the teachings of Jesus.
We serve all the community and recognize we are part of the whole body of Christ. We practice ecumenicity in worship, believing that Christians may and ought to worship and serve God together despite differences of theological opinion and Biblical interpretation. Our Church’s Covenant is: I will honestly endeavor to practice in every relationship in life the two great commandments: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. You shall love your neighbor as yourself.“ (Mark 12:30-31) We see families struggling all around us, youth in crisis, and the majority of the people with little or no faith involvement. We have a vision that people will know and follow the example of Jesus, families will be whole and alive, and our community will be filled with hope. To help us fulfill our vision, at GOPCC, we feel we are called to S.E.R.V.E.
